CES 2023 will include new lidar products
Three of Innovusion's lidar sensors will be on display at CES 2023: a fixed solution for junctions; the Falcon long-range lidar; and the Robin mid-to-short range lidar.
A 2023 CES Innovation Award for design and engineering in consumer technology products was given to the Falcon lidar sensor.
With the use of integrated optics and scanning components, the Falcon lidar creates a 3D real-time point cloud image while also taking a long-range and high-resolution image. Falcon is capable of detecting objects up to 500 meters away and even black objects with 10% reflectance at a distance of 250 meters. The gadget was a component of the ET7, ET5, and ES7 automobile models from Chinese automotive OEM NIO's standard sensor system.
With a 905 nm laser, the Robin lidar uses electronic and photonic technology to create a 3D point cloud image of its surroundings. Robin's lidar
Has a 90% point of detection (POD) under 100K LUX and can detect objects with 10% reflectivity up to 180 meters away.
has a 140 degree horizontal field of vision.
has a maximum 90-degree vertical field of view.
can be incorporated onto the bumper, side fenders, headlights, and rear lights.
When changing lanes on the highway, merging with traffic, turning at intersections, or cruising through cities, a vehicle's side vision could be employed with the Robin lidar.
Up of 300,000 lidar will be produced annually, according to Innovusion. The business claimed to have delivered more than 50,000 Falcon lidar systems with image-grade long range, the biggest delivery volume of any lidar manufacturer in the world, by the end of 2022.
