The new Focus Premium laser scanner is a new scanner from FARO. In the new device, in relation to the previous versions of the S and M series, the scanning speed has been increased, the camera has been improved, new more powerful hardware has been installed, and the amount of internal memory has been expanded. The new line of FARO Focus Premium scanners has several modifications depending on the required range. The FARO Focus Premium 350 version has a scanning range of up to 350 meters at a speed of 2 million points per second.

The new Focus Premium laser scanner is a new scanner from FARO. The new modification of laser scanners has increased scanning speed, Focus Premium 350 allows you to measure at a distance of up to 350 meters at a speed of 500,000 points / sec. With these characteristics, the typical scan time is about 1 minute. Compared to previous models, this is 40% less. The new scanner received a rubberized coating of the body for more comfortable and safer use. Improved instrument hardware for faster processing of incoming data and software response. A new camera has been installed that allows shooting in HDR mode with 2x, 3x and 5x exposure bracketing. With the new camera, the total resolution of a panoramic shot is 266 MPix, and in RAW format 867 MPix. FARO Focus Premium will be indispensable where high detail and quality of photographic images are required. For example, for shooting facades and interiors of buildings of historical and cultural heritage, architectural and archeological monuments - where it is required to create high-quality texture maps for polygonal 3D models.
An electronic compass and a GNSS module for positioning the received scan data are integrated into the scanner. The scanner is controlled either from the screen on the device case or using a remote controller connected via a Wi-Fi module. Pre-registration in the FARO Stream field software (Android/iOS) is available. Using FARO Stream, you can remotely control and calibrate the device, manage projects, supplement data with photos and comments. It is also possible to work in the Faro Sphere cloud platform for sharing the resulting point clouds directly from the object.
