Simply drive your car from scan position to scan position and capture the surroundings with the Scan&Go system in the shortest possible time and with less effort. This allows you to survey a large area quickly, accurately and without marking target points.
The Scan&Go system is a vehicle-based stop-and-go system for terrain surveying. The system consists of a leveling platform, a magnetic holder and a target mark.
The leveling platform is mounted directly on the roof rack of a vehicle or on a telescopic mast. No matter what angle the vehicle is at, you can level the platform with the 3D laser scanner at the push of a button.
Measuring principle:
The system is used in combination with a 3D laser scanner and two GPS receivers.
Mount the leveling platform on the vehicle roof. You attach the reference ball to the trailer hitch using the support rod or to the hood of your vehicle using the magnetic holder. You must manually adjust the height of the support rod or magnetic holder so that it forms a horizontal surface. Then attach a 3D laser scanner to the platform. Place a GPS receiver on the laser scanner; You mount the other GPS receiver on the reference sphere. You can now start scanning.
Move from one scanning position to another. At each scan position you have to stop the vehicle and level the leveling platform with the laser scanner at the push of a button. You can then scan the surroundings as usual. You don't have to mark any target points.
During the scanning process, the position of the scanner is determined with the help of the two GPS receivers. The GPS receiver on the target is used to orientate the scans. As a result, you get a representation of reality in a single three-dimensional reference system in your software.
